The city of New Jersey at Sheraton Mahwah, on June 24th and 25th, witnessed the magical wedding of Krupa and Nitish. A traditional Gujarati wedding was done and it was a vision. Krupa and Nitish tied knots against the beautiful foliage mandap.
Vidhi and Traditions
Traditional Gujarati rituals were performed in the Sheraton by the bride’s family. These pre-wedding ceremonies included prayers and poojas to bless the union. With Panditji’s arrival, Ganesh Sthapna was beautifully done and his blessings were sought. Different rituals like the Pithi, and Haldi, were conducted that added more colors to the ceremony and warmly welcomed the upcoming nuptials. With delectable foods and snacks from the Sheraton rasoi, the day ended.
Garba Dance
A Gujarati wedding is often incomplete without a garba performance. With an amazing photoshoot of the bride and groom in progress, guests, family, and friends enjoyed various performances and delicious foods. Garba’s dance performance added more colors to the ceremony and witnessed the union of the families, laughter, and fun. With dandiya, sanedo, and open-floor dancing, the night ended with lots of enjoyment and excitement for the next day.
Wedding Shenanigans
Getting an early start to the day, in the presidential suite, bride Krupa was getting ready with her makeup team on the side. All donned in a maroon and multicolored lehenga, Krupa looked stunning. Amazing shots were taken by the best photographers in New Jersey. The groom, Nitish all donned in ivory sherwani was also looking dapper. With their emotional first look at the fountain, the bride and groom were all gleaming and excited for the wedding. Family photos to commemorate this special location were also taken in his backdrop.
Baraat
The groom, his friends, and family all came with their mobile DJ van, and dancing to the tunes of “Kaho na pyaar hai” was a spectacular sight to watch. Nitish was welcomed to the mandap along with the family for the pooja before the ceremony started. With guests taking their seats, the beautiful ceremony started. With Nitish walking in, bridesmaids, groomsmen all eyes were docked to see the bride walk in. The bride walked in with a bouquet in her hands and her cousins holding the “phoolon ka chadar” over her.
At the mandap, the wedding ceremony began and Varmala was worn by Krupa and Nitish in the background of chantings. The couple walked down the aisle and out of the mandap and with that the wedding was beautifully done but the festivities were still at par.
Reception
The reception began at 5 in the evening. The newlywed couple looked amazing and was warmly welcomed by friends and family to the reception hall. With the cocktail hour starting, the ambiance was that of fun and excitement. With light music in the background and friends and family dancing and playing games, the reception evening was the one to be remembered. Krupa and Nitish had their first dance and looked in love hand in hand with each other. The reception cake was cut and then there was a father-daughter and mother-son dance that was so endearing to watch. With a speech from the married couple thanking everyone for their presence, the wedding shenanigans came to an end.
